GWR Macaw H Bogie Bolster BR 20 Ton Bogie Bolster A |
||||||||||||
PROTOTYPE. These light 20 ton 35 foot bogie bolster vehicles were built by the GWR from 1927 onwards. 185 were built and they continued in service well into British Railways days. They were used for a wide variety of loads such as tree trunks and finished timber beams. KIT. Construction is very straightforward except for the long bends on the solebars etc. I recommend a set of bending bars for this operation. This vehicle is the next logical step from a simple four-wheel vehicle and its short length makes it suitable for branch line goods yards. |
